There is a very good possibility that Jason Giambi will likely return to Oakland athletics. There was talk that Giambi might head to the Rays, but today with the signing of Pat Burrell it seems very unlikely that he will go to Tampa, because Burrell will most likely be the DH, and having Pena at first , which would leave Giambi with no spot on the team. That makes the A's the favorite to land the 37 year old lefty likely to go back home and play for the A's. There has been no money disscussion yet but it seems he will get somewhere between 10 milllion dollars and lower for a 1 year deal and possible 2 year option.
Even though that he has had a great career I think it is about time for this old fart to retire. I know he is only 37 but the steroids and everything else that he has done injury wise it's about time for him to go after this contract with the A's.
