Indians and Pavano reach deal

According to Mlb.com "Pavano and the Indians have agreed to a one-year Major League deal that was to be announced Tuesday afternoon. Pavano is guaranteed $1.5 million for '09, with the opportunity to make another $5.3 million in performance-based incentives. The deal does not include an option."  The past 4 years Pavano has had injuries that prevented him from appearing in many games.  He's only pitched a total of 26 games in the past 4 years.  Who knows if he will be able to pitch efficiently and effectively for the Indians with his constant injuries.  Maybe Pavano might feel more comfortable in Cleveland than in New York.  This will all be decided with the start of the 2009 MLB season.
